Vera Milicevic
Vera Milicevic comes from Belgrade,Serbia.She studied at the Music Academies in Belgrade,Freiburg and Mannheim,with Kunstlerische Ausbildung degree in Violoncello major at Musikhochschule in Freiburg as well as the Solisten Ausbildung(post-graduate studies)at the Musikhochule in Mannheim.She has been based in Germany and is a member of Symphony Orchestra in Wuppertal.
As a passionate creator deeply rooted in the realms of both music and visual expressions,I am inviting you to step into my world of colours and music.
She has made solo appearances in the USA (Eastern Music Festival),Germany, France,Italy and Greece. Her debut (1998) was with the Belgrade Symphony Orchestra, performing R. Schumann’s Cello Concerto in A minor, under the direction of A. Surev. In February 2005, she played Haydn’s Cello Concerto No.2 in D Major with the Korean Chamber Ensemble. In May 2007, she performed as a soloist with Schumann’s concerto and the Baden-Baden Philharmonic. Vera Milicevic was an scholarship holder of Villa Musica from 2004 to 2007.She won numerous cello competiotion awards such as the Heranova Competition in the Czech Republic and in Stresa, Italy, where she twice consecutively received the 1st prize.
Vera has harbored a passion for the arts since a young age, participating in several international art competitions.Over the past decade she rediscovered her love for the arts, and since then,she has been painting regularly.In the vibrant strokes of Vera’s abstract art, one discovers a captivating fusion of influences. Inspired by the haunting melodies of the cello, the graceful contours of the female form, and the vast expanse of the sea, Vera creates dynamic compositions alive with color and emotion. As a passionate traveler, she paints upon diverse cultures and landscapes, infusing her work with a sense of wanderlust and wonder. Through her art, Vera invites viewers on a visual journey, where music, nature, and human experience converge in a harmonious celebration of creativity.
